Dr. Adam Maass, 53, was scheduled to face a jury in Benton County on May 21, but his preliminary hearing scheduled for May 20 was postponed to July 3.

This isn’t the first time his trial has been delayed in Benton County.

Maaß was scheduled to face a jury trial on December 12, but this was delayed. The prosecution and defense filed a joint motion for a continuance, requesting more time to review evidence in the case, which was granted.

Robinson confirmed to KNWA/FOX24 that Maass’ lawyers had requested a second postponement of the trial, saying they needed time to go through 16 terabytes of data.

The Cave Springs endocrinologist was arrested in 2022 on sexual assault charges in Benton and Washington counties.

More than a dozen victims have accused Maass of inappropriately touching them during medical exams since 2007.

Maaß pleaded not guilty to all charges.

He faces similar charges in Washington County. According to court documents, Maass has a hearing scheduled for June 7 in Washington County.
